Impact of miscanthus lignin and arabinoxylan on Portland cement

Miscanthus biomass can be used to produce lightweight concrete. However, cell wall polymers leached in the alkaline cementitious medium disturb cement setting. This is case for grass lignin and arabinoxylan due their specific alkali solubility. The main objective of this paper was study impact from miscanthus on hydration Portland by electrical conductivity. To end, dioxan (DL) (AX) were extracted methods preserving structural specificities native polymers.
